Modern Slavery and Ethical Recruitment Statement
Last updated: 16 October 2026
MM Manning has zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking and child labour. This statement sets out how we prevent these risks in our recruitment and crewing activities. It is published voluntarily by AS GROUP ADRIA d.o.o., operating as MM Manning – Offshore Crewing & Recruitment, Kvaternikova 62, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia, OIB: 74264581066, VAT: HR74264581066.
1. Our business
MM Manning connects maritime and offshore professionals with companies in the offshore oil and gas, offshore wind and marine construction industries. Candidates are presented to client companies, which employ them directly or through their contractors.
2. Our commitments
We follow the principles of the ILO Forced Labour Conventions, the ILO Private Employment Agencies Convention (No. 181) and, where relevant, the Maritime Labour Convention 2006. In practice, this means:
- No recruitment fees for candidates. Candidates never pay us for finding work, directly or indirectly. The employer pays.
- No retention of documents. We never keep candidates’ passports, seaman’s books, certificates or other identity documents.
- No debt bondage. We do not lend money to candidates or tie a placement to repayment of any costs.
- Honest information. Candidates receive clear and truthful information about the position, rotation, pay and working conditions before they accept an offer.
- Freedom of choice. Candidates are free to accept or refuse any offer and to withdraw from the process at any time.
- Minimum age. We only work with candidates aged 18 or older.
- Equal treatment. We do not discriminate on the basis of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender or any other personal characteristic.
3. Client companies and partners
We work only with companies that we believe treat their workers lawfully and fairly. We expect client companies and partners to:
- provide written employment contracts in a language the worker understands
- pay wages in full and on time
- respect working and rest hours, health and safety rules and the right to repatriation
- not charge workers recruitment fees or withhold their documents
If we learn that a client or partner does not meet these standards, we will raise the issue with them and, where necessary, stop working with them.
4. Due diligence
- We verify candidates’ identity, qualifications and certificates directly with them, without intermediaries who could exploit them.
- Before presenting candidates, we check the basic terms of each position with the client company.
- We stay available to placed candidates and take their concerns seriously.
5. Reporting concerns
Anyone, including candidates, workers, clients or members of the public, can report a concern about modern slavery, forced labour or unfair recruitment related to our work by writing to info@mm-manning.com. All reports are treated confidentially, and no one will face negative consequences for raising a concern in good faith. Where required, we will inform the competent authorities.
6. Review
We review this statement at least once a year and update it as our business grows.
